چکیده
A new constructive method for finding all convenient moduli m for a number-theoretic transform with given length N and given primitive Nth root of unity modulo m is presented. This method is based on the prime factorization of cyclotomic polynomials with integer-valued argument or on the primitive divisors of integers. Many known results can be obtained as simple corollaries.

Very fast discrete Fourier transform, using number theoretic transform
It is shown that number theoretic transforms (NTT) can be used to compute discrete Fourier transform (DFT) very efficiently. By noting some simple properties of number theory and the DFT, the total number of real multiplications for a length-P DFT is reduced to (P — 1). This requires less than one real multiplication per point. For a proper choice of transform length and NTT, the number of shif...
متن کاملVariable-Length Extractors: Efficiently Extracting Randomness from Weak Stochastic Processes
The topic of generating random bits from imperfect random sources was studied extensively. Existing work provides solutions that are based on the concept of a fixed-length extractor; namely, an algorithm that gets a fixed number of random bits from a source and generates random bits. Typically, the number of random bits extracted using fixed-length extractors is upperbounded by the min-entropy....
متن کاملNew Results on the Number Theoretic Hilbert Transform
This paper presents new results in the theory of number theoretic Hilbert (NHT) transforms. New polymorphic solutions have been found for the 14-point and 16-point transforms. Several transform pairs are computed and solutions found for which the sequence and the transform have the same shape. The multiplicity of solutions for the same moduli increases their applicability to cryptography.
متن کاملThe 10-point and 12-point Number Theoretic Hilbert Transform
This paper presents 10-point and 12-point versions of the recently introduced number theoretic Hilbert (NHT) transforms. Such transforms have applications in signal processing and scrambling. Polymorphic solutions with respect to different moduli for each of the two cases have been found. The multiplicity of solutions for the same moduli increases their applicability to cryptography.
متن کاملApproach to the hardware implementation of digital signal processors using Mersenne number transforms
In this paper Mersenne number transforms are converted into cyclic convolutions, in which form they are amendable to simple hardware interpretation. Such realisation structures are proposed that can make the computation of Mersenne number transforms very fast indeed. This new approach can be extended to the implementation of other number theoretic transforms, in particular to Fermat number tran...
